Getting Un-busy and Letting Go with Yoga

This morning as I chose my yoga practice, the rain outside my window inspired me to choose a sacral chakra (water element) focused yoga practice by Brett Larkin.

Little did I know when I chose the practice how perfect it would be for what I’m needing right now. This practice focused on flowing, moving and adapting. The pose in the picture - a Wild Thing crossed with Tree Pose - was just a bit of fun. It was all about moving out of your comfort zone, trying new things and not being rigid and set in your ways of how you ordinarily do things. Oh, and having a laugh if it doesn’t go to plan.

As I get further into my yoga teacher training journey with One Yoga Samantha I’m definitely noticing how much I can let go of, be less rigid and go with the flow more. I think in our over-busy lives many of us grapple to retain control of every little detail. Feeling the freedom of letting some of that slip away, slowly but surely, is a wonderful experience. Yoga is an amazing tool to help with this process.

And if letting go is your intention, I'd highly recommend this Sacral Chakra practice with Brett Larkin on YouTube.

As you go through your day today, maybe you’ll find something you can let go of.

Namaste 🙏
